ORIGINAL MESSAGE

Hey guys, just letting you know I'm going to be away again for another week. <3 I'll be back on the Saturday before Easter, though it might be too late for me to get on that night. I'm going to New Mexico for a mission trip on a Navajo reservation there (our Mexico trip got canceled for safety concerns), so prayers would be appreciated! <3 I'll need it, haha. I'm already a little apprehensive about this, because it's, like, a 19-hour drive (over two days, but still), and I won't even have my mp3. D; I'm a loner by nature, so it's going to be hard for me to not be able to have my zone-out time over such a long period as that. I'm hoping my new Fruits Basket volume (22, woot! ilu Akito! <3) will keep me occupied. Oh, and the book that Luke "forgot" at church. >> I'm not sure you didn't do that on purpose. But! Anyway. Please have fun while I'm away, and once more I'll ask you to throw lots of love at Kabuto while I'm gone.

Also - my sincerest apologies to everyone waiting for me to update the club. D: I'd meant to get around to that sometime this week, but as with many other things I intended to do before the trip, it got pushed back by the more important things I had to do. >< There's still things to be done, and we're leaving in just a few hours! *frustration* Well, hopefully it'll all turn out alright...when I get back, I'm probably going to see if I can find someone to take my place in the club, because I should've known I wouldn't be able to handle it, even with *Yakushi--Kabuto's much-appreciated help. I'm sorry, guys. I'll do my best to find someone quickly...

Also - last Naruto chapter was boring. Here's hoping this fight's almost over, so we can move on to the search for Kabuto!

Result time! x3 After much deliberation, we (the judges) have come up with some final results for you!

First of all, thank you very much to everyone who took the time to make and submit an entry. :'D They were all adorable and unique, and I had so much fun seeing all of your work! ^^

Second of all, thanks to my fellow judges, ~entropy-herself and ~neverquiteclean. :3 I appreciate your help - I never would've come up with any results on my own.

And without any further ado, here's the results (obtained through a somewhat complicated system of points that I don't really feel like explaining to you so you'll just have to take my word about)!

First Place

Sempai's entry was the only one to make it into all three judges' top three, so I think it obviously deserves this spot! This was one of my personal favorites for a few reasons, largely because I am still intensely amused that he actually drew KabuKitty. Yup, still haven't gotten over that one, haha! I also liked his representations of Orochimaru and Sasuke, so...yeah! Congratulations on getting first, Sempai! ^^

Second and third were very, very close in this contest, but Autumn-chan's adorable entry made it onto two judges' top three lists, so there you go! ^^ Although I'm not sure this entirely fits the definition of "revenge", it's just. so. cute! ;A;

Anyway, here's the contest details.

Theme
If you know me at all, you know I'm a Kabuto fangirl at heart. Generally this means I try to respect things like canon and try to remain in character, but OBVIOUSLY I FAIL SOMETIMES OKAY. A glance at my gallery reveals the masses of OOC/blushy/chibi/shy/kitty Kabuto pictures I've done, and this is what sets the scene for this contest.
Knowing Kabuto, is he the kind of guy to just sit back and take this kind of treatment from some lovestruck wannabe-ninja fangirl who stalks him with a creepy grin on her face?
I think not!
But! How will he get revenge on this unwanted stalker?
That's where you come in.
You decide on Kabuto's revenge.

Prizes
First: A full, one-character CG by me. Preferably a Naruto character, but you can choose other things... Also, my undying affection. <3
Second: A one-character, traditionally-shaded chibi. <3 Again, preferably Naruto, but I'm open.
Third: Chibi-sketch. <3 Ditto above, minus traditional shading. (Although I may anyway, LOL.)
Everyone else: -HEARTHEARTHEART-

Deadline
March 31 (I know it's short, but I want to get it done by the time I leave for New Mexico, if I can. <3)

Judges


Rules
No hentai, yaoi, yuri, sexual themes, or anything I would be embarrassed to show my eleven-year-old brother. ;]
Excessive cursing discouraged, though it won't get you disqualified. (I just don't really want to read it. Dx)
Violence, however, is all good by me. (What would a contest named "Kabuto's Revenge" be without violence?! Well...actually...)
Written entries are just as acceptable as drawn ones, because I love a good fanfic (and I've never read one with me in it, hmm. Could be interesting.)
You may bring in characters other than Kabuto and I - Orochimaru, Sasuke, other Naruto characters, yourself, other people, characters from other series - whatever. Go for it. xD It's probably best if I know the characters at least a bit, but feel free to get creative!
However, please do include Kabuto and I. Or at least one of us.
Use your imagination! If the entry involves something only someone who knew me well or was observant would know, I might just give you extra points. ^^ Inside jokes are a go.

The only steady things, outfit-wise, really, are that I'm a soundnin (when a ninja) and I wear a silver earring in my right ear. :3 And I like hoodies.
