Been having a rough weekend so far...I apologize for not being around much lately. :/ Hopefully I'll be less busy this next week and I'll be able to catch up ith some of my 225+ messages. And work on the commissions.

In any case, here's a little something I stole from *Thomas0607. :3 I did this last year, and had fun with it. xD Especially going and granting other peoples' wishes. So you all should do this too! Who knows, I might be dropping a little gift under your Christmas tree this year. <3

BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Yes, that's right. I am finally opening up commissions! Only a few though, in honor of Christmas. C: See, to me, one of the best gifts I could get is a piece of art. So I thought, I want to give people the chance to give art as a gift - to others, or themselves. And I need some money for christmas. I finally got a job, but unfortunately I don't have a ton of hours in general, and I need that money for gas and school. D; But I still want to buy gifts for people this year... So maybe, help me out?

If you're interested, here's the prices and such.

Traditional Pencil Sketch - $5
Drawn and shaded in pencil, with my usual PhotoShop edits unless otherwise requested. Up to two characters included; if you want more than that, add $.50 for each. Be warned, though, that I'm not great at including multiple characters and I don't enjoy it that much. :/ So the more you include, the lower the quality and the higher the price, really. It might be worth it to you anyway, but just consider carefully before deciding.

I'm limiting the space to five for now, because I am giving myself the deadline of Christmas Eve to be done with these. If I finish these five early enough, I may open up five more, but I'm gonna keep it small for now. (Obviously, my to-do list is still epic long. ) So get 'em while they last! Or something. XD

I will draw anthro, fanart, ocs, anime...pretty much whatever you want. I'll even try animals or fantasy creatures if you really want me to. Only limit is, I won't draw anything I'd have to put the mature filter on. With the possible exception of blood/gore/violence. And I prefer not to draw yaoi/yuri, though I may consider light shonen ai/shoujou ai fluff...by which I mean, I'll draw them as friends and let you read more into it if you really wanna. So just...give me your ideas, and if I don't want to draw yours, I'll let you know and see if you want to change it so it's acceptable or choose something else. C:

As for payment, it will be via PayPal. I will send you a low-quality preview at some point in the process. Then you can send me the payment if you're satisfied. I will then finish/post it. C: No refunds once the money's been sent unless I fail to post it, though. D: And remember, deadline's December 24th, so you should get it by then.

Let's make this simple.

What: I will officially be gone until November 15. I may possibly make an exception to post a Halloween picture, but I won't be answering any comments or anything if I do. This absence includes Skype, MSN, and basically anything except certain necessary, school-related sites. And twitter. Because I use my phone for that. (So if you want to keep track of what I'm doing during this month, that's a good way to do it.)

Why: My church is doing a month of preparation for an event we're going to be doing as a body. As part of this preparation, we're going to fast from some of the big things that distract us from God - in my case, that's obviously internet. So although it pains me to do this, I think that's kind of the point. In case anyone's wondering, I'm also going to (attempt to) take a break from fandom in general - no Naruto, Harry Potter, Fruits Basket...basically no fiction. ;; I may not survive. But we'll see how it goes. D: Keep me in your prayers, or wish me luck, or yell at me, or whatever you feel you ought to do in this situation. I'd appreciate your support in this, though; it's very important to me, and I think it will be a good thing if I can stay positive. ^^

Here's some things that've been on my mind lately.

- I am so backed up with messages and deviations. D8 I need to comment and favorite on so many pictures, not to mention answer all of the comments on my pictures... S'what I get for posting so many at once. >< Sorry 'bout that. I will get around to answering them, but until then - thanks so much to everyone who's been commenting and favoriting lately, especially on my Snape pictures. ^^ It's really encouraging to get support like that when I change the subject of my pictures a bit; now I know y'all don't just watch me because I draw Kabuto/Sasuke/what have you. xD;; So thanks! And thanks for putting up with the spammage, lol.

- ...I may be taking an unexpected month-long break from the internet starting Wednesday. If I do, I'll update this letting you know when I'll be back and why exactly I'll be gone, but just know that I may be gone for a while. I know this is short notice, but I was notified shortly as well. >> Good news is, if I do take the break, I'll have lotsa art to spam you with when I return~

- I am making a Slytherin scarf! Got tired of trying to find one, so my mom bought me a little rectangle loom thing that'll let me knit one pretty easily. :3 I've already got a good start on it, and I just worked for a few hours last night. So it should be done before too long. xD The yarn is soft~ And pretty~ So excited! *^^*

- Raaaaaaaaaaain. <3 It's finally arrived. I'm happy, because this is my favorite kind of weather, but it's also pretty inconvenient, I must admit. Sure makes walking around campus a little miserable. :/ Oh well...here's hoping soon I'll have a Slytherin scarf to keep me warm! *dorky thumbs up* lulz. Then with my greasy hair, I'll be like a little blonde Snape. :3 ...except not nearly as cool. And I don't think I have enough black clothing to pull it off. BUT ANYWAY. Let me be content in my fantardedness~

- May be opening a couple commission slots if I can clear out some of my to-do list over this break. I need money...

- We...finally are going to start D&D...and my mom is making me back out of it. T.T She has her reasons...and I respect her decision...but I am still disappointed. U.U I've decided I will fill the void with more roleplaying. I miss Warriors RPing, specifically... So I may start a forum for that at some point. Maybe some HP, too. I've never tried it before...could be fun. C: Would anyone be interested in RPing with me? (It'll be higher-level RPing, so experience is preferred.)
