Dragons are easier to draw when they're more like half-anthros. D:

There are few writers who can live up to Tolkien and Lewis. ;D lol.
Although personally I think Frank Peretti comes close on occasion.

I know what you mean. I can't get through most of the books in our stores today; they are just so terribly written. I've tried to get past writing styles and look at the story, but even then there aren't many that are even just ok. A lot are just down right bad. Still, you can always find something, and there are a few books out there that are really good, both in style and in story.

Let's see, favorites... Have you read the sequel to Hangman's Curse? It's one of my favorites, and it's called "Nightmare Academy" if you haven't read it. My all-time favorite book by him, though, is probably "This Present Darkness". It's just...SO epic. D: omg. The sequel, "Piercing the Darkness," is a good book as well, though perhaps a bit less epic than the first. xD
His more recent things haven't been as good, in my opinion - er, House, at least. I still have to read Monster. But he wrote House with Ted Dekker, and I'm honestly not a big fan of him... It was a fascinating book in the sense of concept, but the execution was just slightly lacking. Still a worthy read and gave me a lot to think about, but - there was something missing in the style.
Other than that...I can't really remember lol. It's been such a long time since I've read his stuff. I wanna say the Visitation was good, but I don't really remember what happens in it, it was so long ago...
But as far as Christian books go, have you read "Tahn" by L.A. Kelley?
