Dragons are easier to draw when they're more like half-anthros. D:

It's a good thing the stupid red dot would be hidden by Marie's headband and hood anyway lol. 8D

I love the chat... ;w;

Enjoy.

(For those of you who don't get it...just know that the chatroom's serious roleplaying is epic...)

He writes this series called Dragons in our Midst, where he incorporates the Bible and the legend of King Aurthur into a modern day tale. The premise behind it is: Merlin gives the dragons a chance to A: escape the dragon slayers, and B: let the dragons have a chance at their own redemption. They are then turned into humans and are allowed to live where ever they want. Centuries later, they are still alive and have procreated, producing children who are half human and half dragon, hence the anthrozil comment. A child may possess one of a dragon's abilities, like fire breathing, having wings, healing, or even reading minds. It's kinda weird, but kinda cool at the same time. That's just the back story, though. The real story is about keeping the fallen angels from taking over the world and having the dragon's redeemer come and, you know, redeem them. All in all, it sounds weird, but it's a pretty good series.

Oh yeah!! xD I started that series - I even own the first one, haha. I just...wasn't that fond of the writing, so I couldn't manage to finish it lol. But the concept was definitely interesting. :3

Yeah, the writing style isn't great, but it was the idea behind it that pulled me in. The story is pretty interesting for a Christian based book, though Tolkien and Lewis do it better. ;-D

Haha yeah, the idea's fascinating, for sure. xD I just have a hard time with getting through books that don't live up to my writing-style expectations lol. ^^; *feels like a snob* Maybe I'll try it again someday. xD

There are few writers who can live up to Tolkien and Lewis. ;D lol.

Although personally I think Frank Peretti comes close on occasion. :heart:

I really need to start reading some Frank Peretti. I read some of his Cooper kids books when I was younger, and I also read his Hangman's Curse, but I haven't read any of his adult stuff. Can you give me a list of your favorites?

I know what you mean. I can't get through most of the books in our stores today; they are just so terribly written. I've tried to get past writing styles and look at the story, but even then there aren't many that are even just ok. A lot are just down right bad. Still, you can always find something, and there are a few books out there that are really good, both in style and in story.

xD The Cooper Kids series and Hangman's Curse ROCK, lol. I swear he writes the creepiest things sometimes... ^^ I love it.

Let's see, favorites... Have you read the sequel to Hangman's Curse? It's one of my favorites, and it's called "Nightmare Academy" if you haven't read it. My all-time favorite book by him, though, is probably "This Present Darkness". It's just...SO epic. D: omg. The sequel, "Piercing the Darkness," is a good book as well, though perhaps a bit less epic than the first. xD

His more recent things haven't been as good, in my opinion - er, House, at least. I still have to read Monster. But he wrote House with Ted Dekker, and I'm honestly not a big fan of him... It was a fascinating book in the sense of concept, but the execution was just slightly lacking. Still a worthy read and gave me a lot to think about, but - there was something missing in the style.

Other than that...I can't really remember lol. It's been such a long time since I've read his stuff. I wanna say the Visitation was good, but I don't really remember what happens in it, it was so long ago...

But as far as Christian books go, have you read "Tahn" by L.A. Kelley?
